Why does my fireplace smoke into the room?
The most common causes are a closed or blocked damper, a flue restricted by creosote or debris, an incorrectly sized flue, a badly shaped smoke chamber, or negative pressure from a tight modern house. We test draft to identify which one it is.
Can a cracked firebox be repaired?
Usually yes. Cracked mortar joints are repointed with refractory mortar and damaged firebrick or panels are replaced individually. A full rebuild is only needed when the damage is extensive.
Do you service gas fireplaces?
Yes — gas log sets, pilot assemblies, thermocouples, valves and burners, plus annual safety and venting checks.
How much does fireplace repair cost?
